I had always wanted to create something using a mannequin, so I bought one with no clear idea of what it would become. The torso eventually found a second life as a sculptural floor lamp.

Using a dripping technique, violet enamel flows from the neck down the body, creating an organic surface that contrasts with the clean silver steel base. The result is both functional and slightly surreal—a striking statement piece designed to bring a little drama into a lounge or living space.

The rest of the mannequin is still waiting for its transformation. Who knows what it will become?
